Andrea R. Made our first visit to The Blue Wing Saloon a VERY enjoyable experience. The food was excellent and we will def go back. It was our 45th Anniversary and she couldn't have been more gracious. We HIGHLY recommend The Blue Wing Saloon.
Very cute little place!! The food was great and atmosphere was cozy! My husband ordered the beef stroganoff and I ordered the jambalaya and we had the really crème brûlée.

This is our go-to place when we are in the area. Yummy food. Great size for everything. The burgers, wings, and salads are our favorites. They also have a good drink menu and perhaps the will add a gluten free bear option someday. (Buck Wild Brewing is Yummy) The patio is gorgeous!! The servers and staff are always friendly to everyone. If you're passing through, you definitely want to check them out!
We came here for dinner on a nice summer evening. It's located in an old town that maintains its Wild West charm from the 1800s. I loved walking down the street from our parking spot to the saloon. We were able to get a table outside and enjoyed live music. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which came with fries, as well as the Mediterranean flatbread. A few others at our table had the pasta primavera and the jambalaya. I sampled the jambalaya and it was delicious! I may go for that if I'm back in the area again! I will say though, portions were smaller than I expected for the prices of the food, so you may need more than one entree if you have larger appetite. Happy eating!
Absolutely love this location. We stayed at The Tallman, so we ate two meals here, both were delicious! The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the outdoor seating area couldn't be more beautiful. We got Caesar salads for lunch and then the spicy chicken sandwich and ribeye steak with chimichurri sauce for dinner. The live music was fantastic! Can't wait to go back.
Hands down THE best wings I've ever had! Tasty, plump, cooked perfectly! Highly recommend the Asian style! Bartender Scott is awesome - welcoming, friendly and makes a mean old fashioned! Definitely will be back on the next trip through Upper Lake!
As soon as you walk into this place it feels like you're being transported back into the late 19th century. The nostalgic finished wood bar is inviting, as is the adjacent antique piano. Blue Wing has a great selection of local brews from Fort Bragg, Mendocino, Windsor, and Fortuna--PBR ON TAP! Their cocktails are also exquisite. We had the Mendo Sour and Watermelon Mojito. Also, the entire wine list is from Lake County, we enjoyed the Dancing Crow Vineyard wines. Then menu is an American standard affair of pasta, burgers, fish and chips, salads, and flatbreads. Madison was our server and she was kind enough to let us re-locate tables during a record heat wave as the sun slapped us in the face. She came to check in on us 3-4 times despite being super busy on a Friday. Speaking of Fridays, Blue Wing typically has live music and it was nice to chill out with the local cover band strumming classic tunes ranging from Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, the Allman Brothers, Hank Williams, and Fleetwood Mac. Lastly, this saloon is located spitting distance from the legendary Tallman hotel. So there's really no excuse to ignore this place if you're staying there. I don't know when we will return to Lake County, but if I do this place is now always on the "must visit" list.
There aren't many dining options in Upper Lake, but the Blue Wing Saloon is definitely the classiest. Great place to have a nice drink or meal while catch8ng some live music.
We went here for a beer and to listen to some live music. Randy was awesome! I had the stout on tap (local Kelseyville brew) which was really good. I ordered the large Caesar salad to go; portion is a bit small. Overall we loved this place and if we were staying in the area longer I'd love to try other things on their menu. Loved the atmosphere and friendly staff, too!
